Biography

Jovan Vucinic is a New Zealand-born artist who explores how sound can be visually communicated in real-time. His performances utilise a software pipeline built around frequency analysis to drive audio-reactive content. These visualisations consist of video textures mapped to both virtual and physical surfaces according to the underlying principles of cymatics.

In 2014 he started Bloom AV as a platform to document both his experimental and freelance work. It has also been used to host events with collaborative audio-visual art.

He has worked with artists and organisations from a diverse range of backgrounds. Recent highlights include a 3-month residency at the VIC Aveiro Arts House, a performance with Fis at Le Guess Who? festival and work as a Visual Engineer for Berlin Atonal 2019.
